Richard David James a.k.a. Aphex Twin is one of the most influential and inventive figures in the contemporary electronic music scene. He has been around since the 80´s creating ambient music with technobasslines. His first full-length album Selected Ambient Works 85-92 was released in 91´. The album is a classical piece and was overthrown with good criticism. Rolling Stone magazine described Aphex Twin music as: "Aphex Twin expanded way beyond the ambient music of Brian Eno by fusing lush soundscapes with oceanic beats and bass lines." Even today the album sounds surprisingly modern and vital. Here´s two of the best tracks from the record!
