It was 2000 something...

This week we´ve been digging in the crates listening to some older tracks that just blew our minds at the time when they were released. At times surfing other blogs for the perfect beat can be sort of exhausting. So here´s some electro and techno which isn´t the newest but, ay, so good!

First of is Vitalic a.k.a. Pascel Arbez from France. His album Ok Cowboy was released in 2005 and three years later it still feels like it could been released yesterday. His second full-lengt h album V Live was released in 2007 and it´s also a bänger. Some of our friends saw Vitalic live in Madrid last year and he blew their heads away. Vitalic please come to Sweden!

Surkin was(and still is) making the world dancing like crazy in 2005-2006 to his track "Ghetto Obsession" & "Radio Fireworks". Even today there´s especially one song from his debutalbum Action Replay that makes our ears melt. The track is a remix of "Kiss & Fly" by Tacteel. Love how he makes the song into a dreamy electro masterpiece!

If you´re in Berlin you should visit the club Berghein where Marcel Dettman is resident deejay. This next song was released in 2007. Dettman did this track together with fellow colleague Ben Klock on the label Ostgut Tonträger. It´s just keeps on getting better and better! Listen!

Italian Mauro Picotto has been around since the 90´s producing trancemusic so that the mamas boys could get some freedom while dancing. He especially claimed some fame with the songs "Pulsar", "Komodo" and "Iguana" in early 2000. This track has been one of our favorite tracks while deejaying in clubs. You can find it on the excellent album Superclub. Which was released in 2005. It´s what they call a "dräpare" that you can put on as a last finale in a dj-set.
